Through a partnership with American Adventure Park Systems, Unicoi State Park and Lodge offers the exhilarating Unicoi Zipline & Aerial Adventure Tour. The Aerial Adventure is like no other experience with 19 zip lines and 7-plus suspension bridges that range from 75 to 2,000 feet long and as high as 100 feet off the ground.

The adventure, supervised by our experienced canopy rangers, is great for beginner and experienced thrill seekers alike. See the lake and wildlife from a whole new vantage point!

If treetop traversing isn’t your thing – Unicoi State Park has a bevy of other ground or water-based activities to fuel your adventurous side.

Make a Splash

For those more aquatically inclined, kayaking and paddle boarding on the 53-acre Unicoi Lake can satisfy the adventure fix. Our guided Kayaking Class is a great way to see the lake and learn the history of Unicoi and the surrounding area. The class covers kayak safety, gear and technique plus a tour, all from the comfort of our stable kayaks.

Trendy Paddle Boarding is another great way to see the ecosystem from a unique perspective. Through the Intro to Paddle Boarding course, guests receive instruction and tips to get them balancing and paddling in no time. Once they’re mobile, they’ll take a guided tour of Unicoi Lake.

Other adventure options available to lodge or park guests include a GPS scavenger hunt, fly fishing, and the Archery and Air Gun Range.

Thanks to the Unicoi Adventure Lodge program, GoPro cameras are available to rent with on-site instructors providing all the information you need for optimal use.

By capturing their own fantastic adventures, they experience during their time at Unicoi State Park, visitors head home with a souvenir that is uniquely Unicoi.

When guests complete their excursions, they can retire to any number of on-site lodging options including cabins, campsites, or chic guest rooms accommodations. Park-based accommodations allow for outdoor excursions and day trips to nearby Alpine Helen all in the same vacation.
