Nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, Unicoi State Park and Lodge welcome you and your wedding guests for a truly unique wedding experience. The lodge features 100 guest rooms and 30 cabins. Located about an hour and a half from the city of Atlanta, Unicoi State Park and Lodge is surrounded by 1,050 acres of state park property and is adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest. The Historic Village of Sautee, North Georgia’s many local wineries, seasonal festivals, art galleries and the Alpine City of Helen are only a short scenic drive away.
The Lodge is the perfect location for couples who would like to have their wedding in a stunning natural setting. The 53 acre Unicoi Lake can be seen entering the park as well as from The Beach House Facility. In 2014, extensive renovations took place in the main lodge, many guest rooms, cabins and campsites. Invite your wedding guests to enjoy the many features of Unicoi State Park including 12 miles of hiking and nature trails, a challenging single track mountain bike trail, trout and lake fishing, beach access and lake swimming, seasonal canoe and pedal boat rentals, picnic facilities, bird watching, special nature and culinary programs, educational hikes, field for recreational activities and sports, and the Lodge Restaurant and full service Smith Creek Tavern.
All events require a guaranteed minimum number of rooms for 2 or more nights. Sunday events and events on holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and other holidays may not require a guaranteed amount. Events made less than 3 months out may not require room minimums and may have special rates.

Masters Hall has soaring 24 foot high ceilings, custom wrought iron chandeliers, and a dramatic stone fireplace to make the Masters Hall the largest indoor space at the Unicoi Lodge for weddings. The facility comfortably hosts both the ceremony and the reception.

Located on the second floor, The Fireside Ballroom and Lobby is the ideal choice for couples searching for the convenience of having the ceremony and reception at the same location. The Fireside Lobby has an elegant two-sided wood burning stone fireplace ideal for cocktail hour.

This rustic lakeside venue, nestled amongst mature oak and pine trees, overlooks Unicoi Lake and features large windows on three sides and a private covered deck accessible from the building’s interior. A floor to ceiling river rock fireplace compliments the hardwood floors, ideal for dancing. There is also beach access and a beautiful rock terrace that overlooks the north Georgia mountains, Smith Creek, and Unicoi Lake and is ideal for photographs.

The Dogwood Room is located on the main floor of the Dogwood guest building. The room features large windows with a patio views overlooking Smith Creek Field and the mountains. There is a corner stone fireplace that creates a romantic focal point. There is also a small grassy area ideal for ceremonies. The Dogwood Room is great for brides and smaller groups looking for guest lodging in the same building as their ceremony and reception.
